In 2023 I left my role as Head of Solutions at TikTok to build Pup List, a tech-driven platform offering personalized pet shopping recommendations, breed-specific products, and unique gift registries to make it easier for friends and family to support new pet parents. With Pup List, you can create a custom registry for everything your pup needs, from toys and training supplies to care funds for vet visits. Our goal is simple: to give pet parents a seamless, joyful start with their furry family members—supported by a loving community.

It all started with a pup and a Latina millennial building a career in Washington D.C.

Adopting Buddy, my soul dog, completely transformed my life. Becoming a dog mom brought so much joy—and a lot of new challenges. From researching breeds and training tips to finding quality products, I quickly learned how costly and complex it can be to raise a new pup. Friends celebrated our journey by bringing gifts, though many didn’t know what new pet parents truly need. Pee pads, chew toys, vaccines, training classes—it all adds up. Every thoughtful gift made a difference.

Buddy went everywhere with me, from brunches to flights, and I realized how much today’s dog parenting has changed. Modern pet owners are navigating a new landscape, needing everything from personalized vet advice and pet insurance to breed-specific products. After countless hours of research and trial and error, I was always eager to help friends when they welcomed new pups.

I wanted to create a lasting impact in the pet space. Inspired by the convenience of registries for weddings (after planning my wedding, complete with Buddy as our ring bearer) and babies (as my friends shared their baby registries), I envisioned a gift registry specifically for new pet parents, designed to meet all of their needs with ease and personalization.
